Differences between a Businessman and Entrepreneur

Businessman and entrepreneurs have many similarities. They both provide jobs, give solutions to the consumers, and help in developing the economy of a certain nation but both are not the same.

We are living in a world where everyone clams himself as an entrepreneur but the reality is an Entrepreneur is someone who never calls himself an entrepreneur.



When we hear these two terms businessman and an entrepreneur both seems like same, both have many similarities but both are not same.

You have two options. You will go safely, follow the speed limits and you will go through the roads you know or you will go as you want, not caring too much about safety, you will go to new places where you never gone don’t have the idea about routes.

Simillar thing happens in business. You have to decide whether you will play safer or would you like to take the risk.

1. IDEA. 

If you will observe you will find that a businessman is a person who works on the already existing idea.

Ex - Franchise, Retail Etc

They decide idea which is already making profit in the market.

An entrepreneur is a person who innovates new ideas, who create new products.

They create the products which have never been created ever. They create something out of nothing. They create new products without worrying about from it I will make enough profit or now, this product will work well or not.

2. METHOD

Businessman - Use conventional method they are doing things as other people are doing in the existing market. They follow the Trends that others have been doing for ages.

 Entrepreneur - Use unconventional method they try new things and always experiment and thinks about their customer how they can provide better quality product or service that exist in the marketplace.

3.PATH

Businessman - They move on the trail and tested path. They afraid to do something in a new manner because if a new idea will not work then they may lose their customer, money, time, people will criticize Etc.

 Entrepreneur - They don’t follow the crowd. They prefer to take the risk and make their own path. They prefer to walk in the road in which people afraid to walk.

4.IMPORTANCE

Businessman - They gives importance to profit. They always think about profit. They don’t think, care so much about their customer, co-workers.

No-doubt anyone doing business either a businessman or an entrepreneur for money but a businessman’s first priority is profit.

Entrepreneur gives importance to people. They always think about their customer, co-workers how they can provide valuable product or service. How they can make a better relationship with their customers, co-workers.

Characteristics of an entrepreneur:-

1.Passion and motivation

Passion helps you to do your work also even when you are tired. If you are really passionate about the work that you are doing, you will never bore. You don't need motivation on time to time.

You can do the work for long hours without getting bored.

You can work day and night without worrying about the result. It doesn't matter how many times you will fail but you will never stop.

Motivation is similar to food, Motivation is not something you take at a once and you are done. You have to take it on time to time because in an entrepreneur's life there are many up and down. You have to face a lot of challenges and at that time if you will stop then you can't achieve your goal.


2.Not afraid to take the risk

Risk is an opportunity for them.

Entrepreneurs always ready to take the risk because they know the more they will take risk more they will stretch themselves. The bigger they will take the risk they will get the bigger rework.

They never see how long is the journey, how much difficulty they have to face, they will succeed or now.

They believe in themselves and start taking action without worrying about the result and they never stop until and unless they achieve something or get the result they want.

3.Self-belief hard work and dedication

It does not matter how talented or intelligent you are if you don’t believe in yourself. You can’t do big things in your life.

You should believe in yourself, your idea, the work you are doing whether the whole world will believe or not.

Hard work is like a fuel of success if you are not investing your time. money and efforts than other people than it is hard to be successful. And the secret of doing hard work is you should passionate about the work you are doing.
If you are doing the work you like then you will bore any time you can do it anytime even when you are tired.

Dedication is all about doing any work with full concentration.

4.Adaptable and Flexible

They adopt new technologies and methods for doing things. They keep experimenting with new technology.

They are flexible. They don't stick to the same idea. It doesn't matter how much time they have invested to get an idea if any idea, not works or customers are not happy with the idea then they change it.

5.Strong money management

Everyone earns money in their life but some people know how to manage it. In business money management is very important whether it is small or big.

It is a game of money.

95% people fail in business they don’t know how to manage money.

6.Effective planning skill

You must have this skill. This can save you a lot of money and your time.
The secret of doing more things in less time is simple to do planning.

It is good to make the plan for tomorrow, for a week, months and for some years. If you do so then in your mind has a clear idea about what to do next.

It also helps you to track where you are right now and where you want to go. You can see how far you're from your goal and how much you have to do hard work to achieve your goal.

Having the right connection will always help you. It saves your lot of time, energy and efforts. Having a connection with the right people or having the right people in the team is as an asset of any business.

They always ready to learn new things. They read different kind of books, They take courses for personal and professional development.

Learning new things can help them to generate new ideas.

9.Ability to question themselves

They have the ability to ask the question themselves. They spend time alone they talk to themselves and this also helps them in taking the major decision.
